  • Summary: Wikiversity is a free on-line university project from the Wikimedia Foundation and is a "sister-project" to Wikipedia. Each language version of Wikiversity uses the MediaWiki platform and is intrinsically linked to all of its sisterprojects within its language subdomain. For example, you can easily link  de.wikiversity.org with related articles at de.wikipedia.org simply by prepending something like link with w:link.  You can use v:link on any other wikimedia project to link to Wikiversity pages, but this isn't normally done for unknown reasons.

    Wikiversity as an Interlingual Hub

The Wikimedia Commons allows convenient embedding or "interwiki linking" of text, files, images, media, sources, etc. between and among users, projects, topics and languages. The content is licenced Public Domain, GFDL or CC-by-SA. New language clubs can build new projects from the multilingual "meta" and "beta" sites.
