Confluence: ‘a coming or flowing together, meeting, or gathering at one point’… ‘the flowing together of two or more streams’
Casual Confluence: Generally we think of confluence as something that emerges; as a natural process that occurs under certain conditions. We might envision a flock of birds. At times their flight paths might seem chaotic, but in time they will coordinate their actions and act in concert; their intentions aligning…
Strategic Confluence: What is essential about confluence remains essential to strategic confluence; as sense of collective self-organization amongst disparate elements that are related in some way. That they are related being reflected in the proximity necessary for the confluence that in time arises. What distinguishes strategic confluence is that we, as agents situated in the midst of this potentiality, have an intention to create confluence; an intention to bring about the alignment of intentions and harmony that then results.
Shared Enfluence: We, as free agents, recognize the common elements that bind us and choose alignment over chaos. We realize that it is advantageous to us to explore what separates us, to identify ways that we can bridge these differences, and to develop the processes and tools that are necessary to bring us together. We also discover our shared enfluences, which sometimes have a surprising and even comforting effect. Finding like-minded allies can be a rewarding experience.
We realize this because we understand that together we are strongest, and it is only if we are collectively strong that we can realize our greatest potential!
A section here for testimonials may be a corny way to share exemplary models of day-to-day confluences that can be documented.
